Irish Gait has three main bedrooms, all en suite, and a number of additional small bedrooms. We have accommodated parties of up to ten, so please get in touch if you are looking for accommodation for your group. All bedrooms, with the exception of the garden studio, are on the first floor, and are only accessible via a flight of stairs.
The River Room has a view of the River Nith, with a super king size bed.
The Olive Room has a view of the garden, also with a super king size bed.
The Peony Room is a twin room with two single beds, overlooking the garden and also has a small single room attached for a third guest.
We also have a self-catering studio flat in the garden, completely separate from the house, with a sofa-bed, kitchen and bathroom for those who want to do their own catering.
All rooms have tea and coffee-making facilities and wifi.
Also available for guests to use for work or relaxation are the drawing room and dining room, and if the weather is good, our walled garden.

Our price averages £50 per person per night, with a small additional charge for single occupancy of the double rooms. We are happy to offer special weekly or monthly rates for long-term stays so please get in touch .
We offer a full Scottish breakfast, with locally produced haggis, black pudding, bacon and sausages, all from our local butcher Mogerley's
fruit and vegetables from Parry's Farm Produce and local free range milk from Roan's Dairy
We are also happy to offer vegetarian and vegan options as well so please let us know if you have any dietary requirements.

Castle Douglas is the food town of Dumfries & Galloway and boasts over 50 local businesses producing food and drink.
If whisky is your thing, the Distillery just outside Annan has guided tours every day and a very nice cafe attached. The Distillery also manage the Globe Inn in Dumfries, Robert Burns' local pub
